Who runs this

Continued Practice helps people keep practicing together — after a class or retreat, or in a community with no end date. One partner at a time, entirely by email.

Two people run it: Valentina and Don.

Valentina

I’m Valentina, and I’m the person who answers when you write in. I came to this from a career in engineering before training as a dreamwork practitioner — Jungian dreamwork and Gendlin’s Focusing. Continued Practice grew out of how hard it was to keep practicing with someone once a class or retreat ended. I don’t choose who you’re matched with; a program suggests that, and you decide.

Don

I’m Don. I build Continued Practice and keep it running, quietly in the background. For about twenty years I’ve built products, and I care most about the guardrails that let people trust them. If you ask us to delete your data, I’m the one who does it.

How matching works

Your match is suggested by a program. It looks at languages, time zones, and what you each said you wanted — nothing else. Before a round goes out, one of us looks over the list to catch mistakes, not to judge who should meet whom.

Because we operate the service, the two of us can see what you put on the form, and we use it to run the matching and nothing else. Nobody reads anything from a session — there is nothing from a session for us to read. There is no one else: no staff, no contractors, no advertisers.

No introduction happens until you and the other person have each privately said yes. That decision is yours, never ours.
