The simplest way to get help is the same way everything else here works: reply to any email we send you. A real person reads every reply and writes back — within a day.
Or write to us directly at help@continuedpractice.com. Continued Practice is run by Valentina and Don.
You can end any session at any time, and you never owe anyone a reason. That’s true in the middle of a session, not only before it starts.
If something felt wrong — in a session, or in an email — write to help@continuedpractice.com. Valentina and Don read these; someone replies within a day. Say as much or as little as you like; you don’t have to explain or justify anything.
We’ll never pass on your name, or what you told us, without asking you first.
And there’s one thing you can do without talking to anyone: reply NOT AGAIN to any of our emails and you’ll never be matched with that person again. We don’t ask why, and we never tell them.
Everything here is a reply to an email. There is nothing to log into and nothing to manage.
I want to change my availability, my languages, or anything else I put in
Reply to any email from us and say what changed — “weekday evenings don’t work any more,” “I’d like to add German.” We update it by hand, usually the same day. You never have to fill the form in again.
I want to take a break
Reply SKIP to any email and we’ll pause your matches. Reply again whenever you’re ready to start up — there’s no window to miss.
I want to leave
Reply DELETE ME to any email. We remove your profile, your photo and your session records, usually within a few days. You don’t need to give a reason, and nobody in your group is told.
I'd rather not be matched with a particular person again
Reply NOT AGAIN and we won’t suggest them to you again. It’s private, it needs no explanation, and they are never told.
My partner hasn't replied, or we never found a time
Tell us and we’ll help find a new time or suggest someone else — you don’t have to chase anyone. When we check in afterwards, replying NO is enough; it is not a complaint about them and it isn’t held against either of you.
Who sees my photo, my note, and my email address?
One suggested partner at a time, when we ask them whether they’d like to practice with you — and only what you chose to give us. Your email address is exchanged only if you both say yes. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.
Does the person who invited me see whether I showed up?
No — they see whether you accepted the invitation, and how many sessions the whole group completed. Not who you were matched with, and not whether any particular session happened. The one exception is a group that exists to log certification hours, and if yours is one of those, the sign-up form says so before you give us anything.
Is this therapy or counselling?
No. Practice sessions are peer exchanges between people in your community — your partner is a peer, not a practitioner treating you, and this is not a substitute for care. See the Terms of Use.
A class, a retreat, a conference cohort, a certification programme, or an ongoing community.
How do I start, and how long does it take?
Tell us about your group on the contact page. We’re working with a small number of communities to begin with, so we usually reply within a day and may ask a couple of questions. Once you’re set up you get your invite link the same day.
What does it cost?
Nothing while we’re working with our first communities. If that changes we’ll tell you and your participants before it does, and never in the middle of a running group.
What if fewer than eight participants sign up?
Then we wait, and we tell you where you are. Matching a group of three produces the same two pairings every round, which is worse than not starting. We’ll suggest a nudge, a longer window, or joining your people to the wider community of Focusers — your choice.
What do I see about my participants?
Who accepted your invitation, who hasn’t yet, and how many sessions the group completed. Not who was matched with whom, and not whether any particular session happened — that’s what makes people honest about their availability. If your group logs certification hours, you also see each person’s count, and they are told so on the form before they join.
What happens when my class or retreat ends?
The group can keep running as long as you like. When you wind it down, each person can choose to keep practicing with the wider community of Focusers. Nobody is moved automatically — it’s theirs to opt into.
Can I run more than one group?
Yes — each one gets its own link, and they stay separate unless you ask us to combine them.
Someone in my group is having a hard time. What should I do?
Write to us and we’ll pause their matches straight away — you don’t need to explain their situation to us. If they’d rather handle it themselves, they can reply SKIP to any of our emails, and it never runs through you.
Do I have to administer anything?
No. You send one link. Sign-ups, pairing, timezone maths, reminders, pauses and leaving all happen by email between us and your participants. There is no dashboard you have to check and nothing waiting for your approval.
Write to help@continuedpractice.com. A real person reads every message — within a day.
